Both Logan and Ipswich are private billing practices, meaning that accounts are to be settled on the day of your appointment.
Some health funds may offer a rebate on the cost of appointments, but it is best to check with your health fund for current coverage details.

Pathology and Testing

  • These range in price and the dispensary carries a small range of the most commonly required items.
  • Most other items can be noted on a script which can be filled at your convenience - either with delivery directly to your home or for collection from the practice.

Additional In-House Testing

  • Basic in-consult tests are included in the price of your consultation.
  • Food intolerance testing will take approximately 45min and you are welcome to leave the room after your initial blood sample is taken.
  • Blood drop analysis and complex microscopy may incur an additional charge based on the complexity, time taken and reporting required.
  • GP ordered tests are generally bulk billed through Medicare, but this may vary depending on the tests orders and whether your GP participates in 'bulk billing' and selects this option on your form.

  • Private pathology is ordered through a number of providers, depending on the tests required. These providers can include Healthscope Pathology, 23andMe, NutriPath, Research Nutrition, Interclinical Laboratories and SmartHealth Pathology. Costs are dependent on the test ordered and will be discussed this with you prior to ordering any tests.

Patient Responsibilities - Accounts & Non-Payment

  • Accounts are to be settled on the day of service, unless arranged prior.
  • You are welcome to pre-pay for appointments, or set up a direct debit of partial payments to cover future services.
  • If your account is over 90 days past due, you will receive a letter stating that you have 30 days to pay your account in full. Partial payments will not be accepted unless otherwise negotiated.
  • If your account remains unpaid, it may be referred to a collection agency and charged a processing fee of $75, and you may be discharged from this practice.
  • There is a $35 fee for returned cheques to cover bank fees.

Late Cancellations & Missed appointments

  • As a courtesy to other patients requiring services, we request that you provide notice of cancellation 24 hours in advance of your appointment.
  • Patients who do not give 24 hours notice for a missed appointment will be charged a fee of $30.
  • After two missed appointments (ie. Third missed appointment) you will be charged the entire time reserved for you on the schedule.
  • Exceptions are made for emergency / serious cases.

Private Health Insurance

  • You are financially responsible for all charges, with payment expected on day of service or within 7 days of statement notification (by prior arrangement).
  • Knowing your insurance coverage is your responsibility and you should contact them with questions about your coverage before your visit.
  • It is your responsibility to follow up with any claim with your insurer.


Due to the sometimes surprise nature of births and babies that follow their own arrival schedules, please be understanding if Marta is attending a birth and must reschedule your appointment with little notice. Rest assured that if it were your baby arriving, you would have her full attention regardless of any other schedule. As much notice as possible will always be given, however your understanding is always appreciated.
